Senior Sergeant Daniel Walden started his law enforcement career in 1998. Currently, Daniel is employed by Donna ISD Police Department, where he supervises Criminal Investigations, Internal Affairs, K-9, Special Response Team, Communications, Police Administration, and Training. Prior to his experience at Donna ISD, Daniel worked as a patrol sergeant for the Hidalgo Police Department. He also was a detective, SWAT officer, and training coordinator for the City of Donna Police Department. Daniel is a TCOLE instructor with nearly 20 specialization certificates, and has been teaching at the Regional Police Academy since 2004. His background also includes experience as a PPCT Sexual Harassment and Rape Prevention Instructor, which teaches officers and civilians how to prevent and defend themselves against attacks. Among his other certifications, Daniel has been an emergency medical technician for 28 years. During those years, Daniel responded to and treated many victims of family violence.
