The FRIDAY program is specifically designed to serve as continuing education for law enforcement officers. This 8 hour class includes topics such as the Alcoholic Beverage Code, Alcohol’s Effect on Brain Development, and Investigative Techniques/Enforcement Options related to underage drinking and underage impaired driving. Officers who successfully complete the course will receive 8 hours of TCOLE credit(#6017).

Instructor Bio


Jessica Berry is assigned to the Traffic Division as a Motor Officer with the Missouri City Police Department.  She is the first female motorcycle officer in Fort Bend County.  As a member of the Traffic Division within the Motor Unit, Berry is responsible for working traffic complaints, school zones, accidents and addressing traffic issues within the city. 

In addition, Berry is a Field Training Officer (FTO), a Drug Recognition Expert (DRE), a Standardized Field Sobriety Test (SFST) Instructor, and a Breath Test Operator.  She assists in teaching classes to new hires in relation to Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) enforcement and assists Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) in hosting their monthly Victim Impact Panel at MCPD. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from York College of Pennsylvania.

Berry began her career with the Missouri City Police Department in 2010, where she was assigned to the Patrol Division.  Throughout her professional career, Berry has received several awards. In 2012, she was named Officer of the Year and received a commendation from Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) for her DWI enforcement in Fort Bend County. Recently, Berry was the 2016 recipient of the Excellent Police Duty Award.

In her spare time, Jessica enjoys traveling, riding her motorcycle, baking, and spending time with family and friends.
